3-Day Annual Summer Retreat: The 5 Dakinis of Green Tara Meditation Practice

In this 3-Day Summer Meditation Retreat, Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche will present The 5 Dakinis of Green Tara meditation practice. Rinpoche will provide teachings and guided meditation and we will engage in this profound practice together as a group.

Green Tara is a manifestation from ultimate reality, an enlightened being in female form. She embodies all Buddhas, bodhisattvas, and enlightened beings, and all enlightened qualities are perfectly complete within her. Green Tara practice is a meditation that focuses not on an ordinary object but on an enlightened image. The benefit of this practice is that it frees your mind from ordinary thoughts, emotions, unhappiness, and stress, and transforms all five mental poisons into enlightened awareness. It creates a clear mind and life and ultimately leads to completely perfect enlightenment.

Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche translated The 5 Dakinis of Green Tara meditation manual we will use in this retreat from the treasure teachings of the great treasure revealer Lerab Lingpa.

You may purchase a physical copy of the The 5 Dakinis Green Tara meditation practice manual on our online shop here. A PDF of the manual will be sent to all participants prior to the start of the retreat.

Rinpoche has explained that receiving the empowerment is recommended for all participants as it enhances your Green Tara practice so that it becomes more powerful. If you have the right perspective, receiving the empowerment allows Tara’s energy into your life. However, receiving the empowerment is not required in order to participate in this retreat or do the practice and anyone interested in this type of meditation practice that involves visualization and mantra recitation is welcome to attend.
